Shot at Strandhill, Enniscrone, Lahinch and Killarney Golf Courses it will make for not only a highly informative and enlightening series, but also will be entertaining as the characters give precious glimpses of their lives away from work. Check out the first installment on Killarney on TurfNetTV for the teasers coming shortly.
News:- Sleeping Warrior Productions complete the upgrade to High Definition.
Sleeping Warrior Productions have made the move to High Definition with the upgrade to the JVC GY-HD111e Broadcast quality cameras, along with building new state-of-the-art monster machines for the editing suites to cope with the ensuing loads thrust on them in editing and compositing all the HD formats, as well as driving the 3D modelling and animation elements required in many of our productions now.
Whilst disposable HD disc delivery is somewhat distant for most customers of Sleeping Warrior's DVD Brochures it does mean that from now all footage shot will be essentially future-proofed for when HD delivery both on disc and online eventually becomes feasible at economical rates and web speeds.
The Scaffolder Falls. Work has started on the work for Johnny Gogan's Bandit Films animated production The Scaffolder Falls. Sleeping Warrior are involved in the compositing and animation work and general production working with Brian McGowan. Progress so far has seen shooting on the street in Parnell Sq in Dublin as well as green screen footage being shot in the Sleeping Warrior studios in Leitrim. Donal Kelly plays the Scaffolder in real life and camera, including Steadicam, was shot and co-ordinated by Nuria Roldos. Completion is due in June 2008.
"The Scaffolder Falls emerged from a chance encounter on Dublin's soon to be re-designed Parnell Square. In the 8 minute film backed by the Arts Council, square and city get a make-over at the hands of the wayward scaffolder artist. With musical arrangements by Giordai Ua Laoire and Ray Duffy, the visuals involve the collaboration of Sligo based animator Brian McGowan and producer Patrick O'Rourke"

Perry Blake Audio Visual Show for the 2008 Tour. We are currently building the AV content for Perry's new tour. It will ultimately see back screen projections featuring a composite of images and video together with numerous onstage cams being fed to the projection. The show will be a new experience for Perry fans, using sequenced content and visuals as well as the more unplugged live format of the past shows.
Scum of the Universe It's UFOs versus the heavenly father as a humble Irish lad struggles with cosmic angst. Don't invite him over for dinner! Screenplay by an anonymous writer and featuring an internationally known musician in his acting debut. Music by Glenn Garrett. Not recommended for the spiritually unstable.
Scum of the Universe is being shot in High Definition in 720p 25 format and will be produced in several forms from short for festivals to broadcast format.
Sligo International Jazz Festival and Summer School. We have just finished shooting the International Jazz Festival and Summer School for the Sligo Jazz Project. This year they had some real legends in the world of Jazz involved in both tutoring and performing, such as Rufus Reid and Paul Wertico to mention just two. We actually found ourselves being completely immersed in the whole vibe of this outstanding Festival with world class musicians and performances. Rufus and Paul have 12 Grammy awards between them. We shot concerts, workshops, masterclasses and interviews to build a complete picture of the Summer School and Festival to initially make a DVD for funding for next year, but will also be looking at producing some of the 30 hours of footage available for the various parties for release and maybe broadcast at a later date. There were outstanding concerts from Avishai Cohen and Havana Son. From a personal level we have to say that it was not only a challenge filming the artists to do justice to their world class performances, but also that it was a real pleasure to be involved being audiophiles and musicians ourselves. The life philosophy of these professional Jazz greats formed a good part of the lectures and they are a real inspiration to the budding musicians....awesome stuff! Music Video for Dave's Radio. We're in the pre-production stage of a music video for a great band called Dave's Radio, for a single planned for release next year, a track called 100 ways. They were the rock band who shook up RTE's TV show "You're a Star".
Update April '08. Dave Peyton of Dave's Radio is now following a solo career being signed to a UK company. We will be shooting the videos to two tracks due for release as singles.
INDIE SUMMER After a great 4 days or so where we shot most of the acts taking part in the Indie Summer Music Festival in Carrick-on-Shannon, we are now producing spotlights on the artists every week for Eircom on their page. Eircom Indie Summer The festival was the brainchild of, and organised by Johnny Beirne of downloadmusic.ie The venues and vibe were great. It was all opened by Luka Bloom and bands such as Dirty Epics fresh from their performance at the Oxegen '07 Festival gave great nights to remember. Roll on next year!

Diary of a Sheep. A short animation for mature audiences, a refreshing story about a good shepherd, a sheep and spiritual growth.
Toys 4 Big Boys Exhibition. We have currently just been working with In Home Entertainment Ltd to supply the video for the big screens on their stand at the show in the RDS in Dublin, the centrepiece and main sponsors "Lads Pad". This display is essentially a loop composited from stills using panscans and one of our usual custom made funky soundtracks. We also had to design and record the audio (VO and music) for the tour of the stand in each room. Whilst we were at the show we took the opportunity to shoot as much of it as we could with our crane rig for the next In Home Entertainment DVD Brochure. There were really some amazing toys for the AV fanatics and the Home Cinema was awesome! Mind you, the Chieftain Tank outside should have come home with us as I could think of a few uses we could find for it.
Perry Blake. Perry has just finished and released another album entitled Canyon Songs so we are filmed some of the process of the creation. This will be a yet another informal glimpse in to Perry's life and work especially for his fans. It will hopefully also feature some of the guest artists on the album. We'll keep you posted as to the progress and the release date. We are also due to shoot a live Irish concert in its entirety in HD for release on DVD at some point in the future.
TV Commercials for Astrology Ireland for broadcast on various TV stations including Chorus, The City Channel and others. Using 3D modelling and advanced compositing these are currently on air in Ireland. We are also working on a few more TV commercials but can't release details until the projects are completed.
DVD Brochures we're always shooting and producing DVD Brochures but at the moment we are working on several including The Abbey Manor Hotel featuring local tourist attractions, Ray Michael Events and and Jenny Hamilton Weddings(Wow factor décor), and also a DVD production for Environmental Installations Ltd.
